As much as we love a well located car park or utilising empty spaces to their full potential, we also think it’s important to leave the car at home, walk the streets of London and appreciate the hidden gems this city holds! With Valentine’s Day less than a week away, we have challenged our team to think of 4 date ideas for less than £20. So accept our challenge and put one of these dates to the test 🙂
Date 1: Sky Garden and Mexican dinner
The Sky Garden is located on Fenchurch Street, walking distance from Monument tube station. We would advise to book your free slot in advance to avoid disappointment. The top floor of this skyscraper gives you the perfect birds eye view of London and will truly make you appreciate the architecture of this City. Close by is the very popular restaurant Chipotle, and if this is your first time be prepared to become a passionate advocate.
Date 2: Waterloo’s trendy Bar Elba
Start your day off at Somerset house and enjoy the many installations and exhibitions on site. Once you have soaked up all the creativity, make your way over Waterloo Bridge guessing the numerous landmarks in sight… and of course don’t forget to take a couple of selfies with the amazing backdrop. From Crust Bro’s, Yo Sushi and Mi Casa Burrito in the Waterloo area, you have a lot of options to choose from.
And for the highlight of the day, download the Drinki app and redeem your 1 free drink at Bar Elba’s rooftop bar.
Date 3: Super Mondays at the Vue
The Vue currently offers customers discounted tickets from as low as £3.99 with Super Mondays. You will need to register and become a member in order to take full advantage of this offer. Super Mondays is available at most Vue cinemas, however, you can find more information on their website. With the remaining £10.00 from your budget why not treat your loved one to a romantic candlelit dinner cooked at home.
Date 4: Climb up the Monument
Admission tickets to climb the Monument vary between £2.30 – £4.50. This building was built between 1671 and 1677 to commemorate the Great Fire of London and to celebrate the rebuilding of the City. Enjoy the most amazing view from your very own platform, and when you’re ready to leave, head down to Borough Market. You will have plenty of options to choose from including cronuts, delicious burgers and freshly made smoothies.
