In 2014, the completely renovated Rotterdam Central Station, also known as De Zinksnijer in Rotterdam's mouth, was completed. The design is inspired by a greenhouse and is completely covered with 130,000 small solar cells, each of which is precisely tuned to collect as much light as possible.
